The compass case is sculpted from seasoned solid mahogany and is then expertly sanded, stained, and finished with 12 coats of hand-rubbed lacquer finish for a handsome piano-finish. The Aluminum Desk Compass in Round Mahogany Case makes the perfect desk accessory or home decoration, and the foam feet on the base of the compass prevent any scratching to your fine furniture. It also includes a round silver aluminum plaque intended for engraving up to 30 words. Sorry, black oxidizing is not available for aluminum plaques.
The Aluminum Desk Compass in Round Mahogany Case is 3 inches (76 mm) in diameter, 1 3/8 inches (35 mm) tall, and weighs 3.5 ounces (100 grams). Its hinged lid opens to reveal a 1 3/8 inches (35 mm) diameter silver compass.
